We got stuck on a highway. The sky turned black and my father drove on the shoulder of the road until we could get off. We drove for hours until we knew it was safe to go back home. The sky was very scary and we thought we were gonna die that day. Thankfully we didn't and the tornado went just north of our home. It's was years ago and now I live in a house that has a storm shelter. Something people should think about though is that a lot of storm shelters that people can actually afford, fill up with water during storms.
